During a central Hungary airshow on Sunday, a small propeller-driven plane tragically crashed, resulting in the loss of two lives and causing serious injuries to three individuals on the ground, according to authorities.

The incident occurred at approximately 3:20 p.m. local time at the Börgönd airshow in Fejér county, and at this time, the cause of the crash remains unknown. The victims included the 67-year-old pilot and a 37-year-old passenger, both of whom lost their lives. Additionally, three individuals in a nearby car sustained severe burns and were subsequently hospitalized, as stated by the police.

Online video footage of the crash depicted the small aircraft performing rotational movements while ascending and descending before ultimately crashing and erupting in flames. In response to the incident, the event organizers made the difficult decision to cancel the remainder of the Sunday airshow.
