Another incident shook the aviation industry this week after two pilots were killed in a collision during the National Championship Air Races in Reno, Nevada, this Sunday.
The incident happened around 2:15 pm, when the two planes, who just finished the T-6 Golden race, collided upon landing. Organizers have already identified the two pilots as Nick Macy and Chris Rushing, who flew the Six-Cat and Baron’s Revenge respectively during the race.
No further injuries were reported, but the remainder of the races were canceled afterward.Â
The NTSB is still investigating the cause of the incident and will take the wreckage of the North American T-6G and AT-6B to an off-site facility for further analysis.
