Could It Be?

Pilot and explorer Tony Romeo, CEO of Deep Sea Vision, funded an $11 million expedition to find Amelia Earhart’s plane, which disappeared in 1937. Using sonar technology, his team discovered a blurry image they believe is Earhart’s Lockheed 10-E Electra, located about 100 miles from Howland Island. While it’s too early for confirmation, the unique shape of the aircraft and the absence of other known crashes in the area make it a compelling discovery. Romeo plans to return to the site with better imaging equipment to gather more data. This challenging expedition requires expensive high-tech gear, and Romeo considers the search for Earhart’s plane one of aviation’s greatest mysteries.
