ShotzSmith Aviation paid tribute to the B-17 Flying Fortress involved in the November 12 mid-air collision this year. The shots were taken mere minutes before the crash happened.
Another angle of the collision is seen further into the video and jumps straight to the aftermath. The silence observed near the end shows how stunned everyone was on the ground.
A week ago, the Commemorative Air Force was authorized to confirm the names of the flight crews involved in the tragic accident. Here are their names:
- Terry Barker of Keller, TX
- Craig Hutain of Montgomery, TX
- Kevin “K5” Michels of Austin, TX
- Dan Ragan of Dallas, TX
- Leonard Root of Ft Worth, TX
- Curt Rowe of Hilliard, OH
