Just imagine being the poor guy tasked with driving around on a deserted road in the middle of nowhere for hours. If we had to venture a guess, we’d assume it must get quite boring. On this day, however, this driver got a bit of a thrill.
Let’s start with this though. Google is mapping out remote parts of the world now. We should take a minute and appreciate the fact that in this day and age you can hop on your computer, or even your phone, and explore a street halfway around the world. This, however, comes at a price.
The car you’ll see in the video is driven by a human (we make this distinction because some of these Google cars are now autonomous), so going on a sandy, 100-mile drive by yourself must make you borderline insane. On this day, however, the driver encountered a plane which was coming from behind. Coincidently, the pilot landed right in front of the car and exited his plane, forever to be immortalized on the internet.
Let that sink in for a minute.
