Masters of the Air has finally landed this month and it’s shaping up to be a good war drama series! The show, so far, has garnered a lot of support with critics praising its bloody and stressful nature.

As you can see in the video below, this series is not lacking in gore or tension. The show follows the deeply personal story of an American bomber squadron in World War 2 – and doesn’t shy away from showing you what happens in the frontlines.

In this short clip, we get to see the bombers of the squadron in tight formations as they prepare to drop their bombs. However, they would soon find trouble in the form of German fighter planes intercepting their formation.

They got picked off one by one, with other bomber crews witnessing their fellow airmen bailing out or getting shot down. Imagine what those crews were thinking as they saw their friends fall out of the sky…
