An Overload to the Senses

This Supermarine Spitfire MK XVI literally spits fire! This fuighter burns its fuel in a fiery exhaust flame while giving off an impressive-sounding display. This was taken during the 2016 Hahnweide Oldtimer meeting.

We just love the sound of the Spitfire, what an iconic plane! In our opinion, there’s nothing quite like the plane’s Merlin engine. Its raw, brutal sound is like music to our ears.

Also, that part at 4 minutes when the jet actually turns around and goes straight in your direction definitely gave us goosebumps! It was awesome to see what a warbird like the Spit can really do in the hands of a good pilot.
