Plane Takes Off Too Late

That Was Close!

This video of an Airbus A340-400 from Air X Charter has been making rounds on the internet again. People were quick to point out how “late” the aircraft took off from Viracopos International Airport’s runway.

The massive plane, which was on its way to Calgary, Canada, used almost the entire runway just to take off. It looked like it was gonna go down for a quick second there as it almost ran out of runway!

Fortunately, this A340 was in good hands – and in a good location. According to one commenter, the runway is 3,240 meters long and is capable of supporting huge freighters such as the Antonov An-225 and the Boeing 747.

Still, that’s way too close for comfort!
